How to use free exercises (without losing hours)

Free practice works best when it feeds your vocabulary system. After each exercise, capture a small set of words or phrases and review them later.

Step 1
Do one short exercise (10–15 min).
Step 2
Extract 6–10 phrases you would actually say.
Step 3
Create small cards (phrase + meaning + example).
Step 4
Use spaced repetition for 3–7 days.

Curated free resources (authoritative)

Make exercises “Canadian”
Use topics you’ll meet locally: appointments, transit, work schedules, landlord emails, and service calls. Then store phrases as cards so they stay available when you need them.
